Girlhood Needlework Sampler, Sarah Mitchell - A Girlhood Silk on Linen Needlework Pictorial Sampler, Wrought by Sarah Mitchell, Early 19th Century. Having four lines of text  amongst insects, flora and fauna, all within a vine and berry border. The text reads, ”He that if down needs fear no fall / He that if low no Pride / He that if Humble ever Shall have God / To be his Guide / Sarah . Mitchell”.  Dimensions: Sight 12 1/2 x 12 3/4in; frame 13 x 14in.  Condition: Framed and Glazed. Not examined out of frame. Toned, and minor stains are evident through the glass.
