Two Portrait Miniatures of Children, 19th Century - Two Portrait Miniatures of Children, Early 19th Century. Watercolor, unsigned. The younger child with short hair and hazel eyes, wearing a white dress with coral necklace; the older child with curly hair and blue eyes, wearing a hat with feathers and navy blue overcoat. Each framed in a locket case. Dimensions:  Sight 2 1/4 x 1 7/8in; Dimensions overall 3 x 2in. This lot comes from an Upper West Side, New York City collection that will be featured in a short lecture by noted specialist of portrait miniatures, Elle Shushan. The lecture will take place at our Bucks County, Pennsylvania location on October 7th at 7pm. The locket frames with heavy wear, toning, darkening to surface and scratches throughout.
