Portrait Miniature of a Girl with Eye Patch - Continental School, Early 19th Century, Portrait Miniature of a Young Girl. The girl with white bonnet over her curls, wearing an eye patch, coral necklace and white lace dress, holding sheet music in Neoclassical interior. In a rectangular gilt metal mounted ebonized frame with a cast brass oak leaves and acorn hanger. Dimensions:  Sight 3 1/2 x 2 3/4in; Frame 7 1/2 x 6 7/8in. This lot comes from an Upper West Side, New York City collection that will be featured in a short lecture by noted specialist of portrait miniatures, Elle Shushan. The lecture will take place at our Bucks County, Pennsylvania location on October 7th at 7pm. The portrait appears to be in generally good condition overall, with slight warping and movement in the frame. The frame with typical wear, toning and darkening to the metalwork; scuffs,  surface scratches and small losses throughout.
