Four Portrait Miniatures of Children - Four Portrait Miniatures of Children, Early 19th Century. Watercolor, unsigned. Comprising four portraits of young girls framed in oval locket cases. Each girl wearing a white dress and coral necklace. The smallest portrait in a rose gold filled locket case with woven hair to the reverse. Dimensions: Sight dimensions range from 2 x 1 /2in to 2 3/4 x 2 1/4in; Frame dimensions range from 2 1/4 x 2in to 3 x 2 1/2in. This lot comes from an Upper West Side, New York City collection that will be featured in a short lecture by noted specialist of portrait miniatures, Elle Shushan. The lecture will take place at our Bucks County, Pennsylvania location on October 7th at 7pm. The frames with typical wear, toning, dust in crevices, scuffs, and surface scratches. One frame with a full crack/break. (as pictured)
