French Patinated Bronze Classical Maiden - A French patinated bronze figural group of a Classical maiden, 19th century, the figure in contrapposto holding two doves leaning against a large ewer with serpent form handles draped in floral garland swags. Dimensions: Height 14 1/2in; width 6 3/4in; depth 4 3/4in. Condition: Typical marks, wear and rubbing to the patination, especially to high points. There are two later drilled vacant holes to the base of the figure. Probably formerly mounted to a mantel clock or marble base. Dirt and dust accumulation in crevices, otherwise in good condition overall.
