Federal Style Andirons, Fire Fenders and Tools - A group of brass and bronze hearthware, 20th century, comprising a pair of Federal style andirons, pierced brass serpentine fire fender, turned brass fire fender and a Rococo style gilt bronze and three fold fire screen. Dimensions: Height of andirons 26in; width 13in; depth 23 1/2in. Condition: As expected marks, wear, rubbing, discoloration and oxidation associated with age and use. The pair of andirons are slightly loose and need to be tightened.The turned brass fire fender lacking bolts to keep everything held together tightly. Provenance: From a Main Line Collection.
