William IV Inlaid Mahogany Work Table - A William IV inlaid mahogany octagonal work table, second quarter 19th century, the hinged lid revealing a fitted interior of small partitions and lidded compartments, the central support having applied blind fret carved decoration above a platform base raised on carved lion paw feet. Dimensions: Height 28 1/4in; width 21 1/4in; depth 13 3/4in. Provenance: From a local collection. Condition: Typical marks, wear, age cracks, stains, scuffs and surface scratches. Minor movement to veneers. Scattered loss of veneer and carved molded decoration throughout. The work table's hinged lid is currently in the locked position.
