Elkington and Co for HAPG Ocean Liner Silver Plated Cream Jug - Elkington and Co silver plated cream jug for Hamburg America ocean liner featuring a cylindrical body, a scrolled handle, and a simple spout. The front of the vessel is decorated with an engraved crest consisting of a buckled garter strap encircling a stylized monogram. The base is impressed with the pattern number 22123 and a shield-shaped mark containing E and over Co. Three individual rectangular stamps contain the letters E, and, and Co in a Gothic-style script, followed by a rectangular cartouche reading ELKINGTON PLATE. Additional marks on the underside include a four-pointed star and a circular stamp containing the letter A.
