Christofle S.S. De Grasse Silver Trophy Cup, 1930s - French Art Deco silverplate trophy cup with vermeil interior, manufactured by Christofle. The vessel features a tapered U-shaped bowl flanked by two sweeping angular handles, supported by a waisted stem on a stepped, ribbed circular foot. The side of the bowl is engraved with S.S. DE GRASSE above FRANK SEE, indicating provenance from the French Line ocean liner. The underside of the foot is stamped along the rim with the name CHRISTOFLE and the word ORFEVRERIE in capital letters. Additional markings include a square hallmark depicting a scale and the number 35. Trophy tested as silver with Thermo Scientific Niton XL2 XRF Precious Metal Analyzer.
