Liverpool Cunard Line Stone China Plate - This 19th-century English ironstone china plate was manufactured for the British and North American Royal Mail Steam Packets, later known as the Cunard Line. The plate features a central floral transfer-printed motif surrounded by a foliate scroll and flower-head border on a stippled ground. The underside bears three printed marks, including a mostly illegible American importer's mark with the word IRONSTONE visible, a central mark reading BRITISH & NORTH AMERICAN ROYAL MAIL Steam Packets, and an oval retailer's mark reading LIVINGSTON LIVERPOOL LORD STREET.
