Herend Hungarian Porcelain Handled Serving Plate, Eton Pattern - Herend Hungarian porcelain square-shaped handled serving plate in the Eton pattern. The piece features a white body with a scalloped, gilded edge and two integrated handles. The rim is decorated with a raised ozier or basketweave molded texture. The interior is hand-painted with a central floral bouquet featuring a pink peony, surrounded by twelve smaller floral sprigs and blossoms in assorted colors including blue, orange, purple, and yellow. The underside of the base bears a blue printed circular factory mark containing the text HEREND HUNGARY around a central shield topped with a crown, positioned above two crossed paintbrushes. Additional marks include the handwritten characters 431 / ETON in blue overglaze, a faint impressed mark in a rectangular recess reading HEREND, and a small number 87 hand-painted in blue on the foot ring.
