Two Royal Doulton Porcelain Balloon Seller Figurines, HN2934 & HN2129 - Two Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurines from the Balloon series. The first figure, titled Balloon Boy (HN 2934) and modeled by Peter A. Gee, depicts a standing young boy in a green jacket, black trousers, and tan cap holding a bunch of six multicolored balloons. The base features the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp, titled and dated 1983, and is hand-signed Michael Doulton 25 May 1990 in gold-tone ink. The second figure is a miniature version of The Old Balloon Seller (HN 2129), designed by Leslie Harradine, depicting a seated woman in a green shawl and white apron with a basket of fruit at her feet. The base features the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp and is marked with the date 1928. Both pieces are hand-painted. Dimensions: 3.5”W x 8.5”H Weight: 1.5 lbs Condition: Good.
