Royal Doulton Ceramic Figurine, Cobbler HN1706 - Glazed ceramic figurine depicting a bearded man in traditional Middle Eastern attire seated cross-legged on a patterned rug. The figure is dressed in a striped green and white robe, brown vest, and a multi-colored turban in shades of yellow, green, and red, shown in the act of mending a brown shoe with several others clustered at his feet. The base features a printed black factory mark consisting of a lion standing atop a crown above a circular device containing four interlocking D characters and reading MADE IN ENGLAND and ROYAL DOULTON, with the word ENGLAND below. Also present on the base is the printed title ”Cobbler.”, the model number H.N.1706., and hand-painted initials CH in dark pigment.
