She holds a blue wide-brimmed hat with a purple ribbon at her side. The underside features a printed black backstamp with the Royal Doulton lion and crown crest, ”MADE IN ENGLAND, ” ”ROYAL DOULTON, ” ”ENGLAND, ” and ”BONE CHINA.” The mark includes the title ”Blithe Morning, ” model number ”H.N. 2021,” and a copyright date of ”COPR. 1948 DOULTON & CO LIMITED.” A small hand-painted decorator's mark ”wn” is present in black near the crest.
