Huichol Mexican Folk Art Circular Yarn Painting - This large circular Mexican folk art yarn painting is executed in multicolored fluorescent yarn hand-pressed into a wax and resin adhesive on a particle board substrate. The symmetrical composition centers on a stylized temple structure, or calihuey, containing two candle symbols beneath a radiant sun emblem (Tatauapa), flanked by two pink deer heads representing the deity Tamatzi Kauyumari and stylized peyote cactus blossoms (Hicuri).
