Japanese Ink & Pigments on Rice Paper Hanging Scroll, Signed w/ Seal - Japanese Showa period (1926-1989) hanging scroll in ink and mineral pigments on rice paper featuring a traditional auspicious scene of two red-crowned cranes standing beneath pine branches with a stylized red sun in the background. The work utilizes fine brushwork for the plumage and features gold-flecked pigment accents on the pine needles. The painting is mounted on a decorative floral vine patterned silk brocade border with paper backing.
