Gien Faience Vented Candy Dish with Blue White and Floral Accents - This shallow circular candy dish is attributed to the French manufacturer Gien and features a vented or reticulated design with blue, white, and floral accents. The piece is constructed with intricate pierced lattice-work across the center and sides, supported by three small unglazed nub feet. The exterior and wide interior rim are finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze, highlighted with a gilded scalloped edge. The interior white ground is decorated with a hand-painted botanical motif in gold, depicting slender branches and leaves.
