A Trio of Burmese Hand Decorated Lacquerware Boxes - This collection consists of three lidded boxes crafted from lightweight wood with a hand-decorated lacquer finish. Attributed to Burma (Myanmar), the set includes containers of graduated sizes, each featuring a distinct decorative scheme. The largest box is embellished with hand-painted red and yellow floral blossoms and green foliage over a dark, textured ground accented with gold-tone highlights. The medium-sized box features a black lacquer ground decorated with fine blue and red-orange line work and a central swirling foliate motif on the domed lid. The smallest container is finished in black lacquer with intricate silver-toned foliate decoration, featuring a central floral medallion surrounded by dense scrollwork.
