Japanese Dewa Sanzan Shinto Deities Hanging Scroll w/ Seal - Japanese hanging scroll executed from a lithograph depicting the three deities associated with the Dewa Sanzan pilgrimage site in Yamagata Prefecture. The right portion of the composition features a figurative illustration of three deities set within a landscape of stylized clouds and waves. The central section contains three vertical columns of bold calligraphy identifying the Great Deities of Mount Haguro, Mount Gassan, and Mount Yudono. A large circular red seal in stylized seal script is centered in the middle column of text. The scroll is mounted with a dark green patterned textile surround and cream-colored patterned ends.
