El Arte Azteca Mexican Malachite Composite Maya Figure - Mexican reproduction of a Maya noble or warrior figure in the Jaina Island style, manufactured by El Arte Azteca. The sculpture is rendered in a composite material featuring crushed malachite with gold-toned accents applied to the elaborate headdress, armbands, and beaded pectoral. The figure stands in a dynamic, authoritative pose with one hand resting on the hip, mounted to a two-tiered base consisting of a textured green block atop a rectangular dark wood plinth. The underside of the base features a red rectangular paper label printed in black with EL ARTE AZTECA, CURIOSIDADES MEXICANAS, SOMOS FABRICANTES, REPRODUCCIONES ARQUEOLOGICAS EN MALAQUITA, MEXICO, D.F., and HECHO EN MEXICO.
