After Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797-1858), Woodcut on Paper, Minakuchi - Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797-1858) Minakuchi, station 51 from the series The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido published by Tomisaburo in 1930. The polychrome woodblock print on paper features a village street scene with travelers, porters, and traditional architecture. The upper composition includes multiple columns of kyoka (witty poetry) inscribed in the sky. Signed Hiroshige ga. The print is professionally window-mounted into a heavy paper sheet.
