Egyptian Carved Stone Bust, Egyptian Princess - Featuring an elongated cranium characteristic and aesthetic influenced of the Amarna-period, the carved stone bust depicts a stylized portrait with almond-shaped, lidded eyes, a straight nose, and full lips. The hair or headdress is rendered with fine vertical striations and accented by a broad studded band. The reverse of the head features a series of concentric circular incisions. Presented on a modern gray block-form base. Acquired from a private collection; provenance and date of creation are unknown. The bust is 4.5”W x 8”H x 6.5”D, weight is 6.8 pounds.
