2pc Roger Fernandes (Native American b. 1952) Lithographs on Paper, Signed & Numbered - Roger Fernandes pair of limited edition lithographs on textured paper titled Basket Woman and Salmon Spirit. Basket Woman depicts a Salish woman with hair transitioning into woven basketry patterns. Salmon Spirit portrays a metamorphosis between human and fish with a composite image of a human face, salmon, and traditional canoe. Basket Woman is titled in pencil at the lower left, and numbered and signed at the lower right 41/500 R. Fernandes. Salmon Spirit is inscribed in pencil at the lower left Salmon Spirit, and numbered and signed at the lower right 101/200 R. Fernandes. The Salmon Spirit print also bears a plate-signed monogram and date reading RF 85. Both lithographs are accompanied by original typed artist statements and legends attached to the reverse.
