Herend Hungary Shanghai Pattern Porcelain Wall Charger - Herend, Hungary. Large porcelain charger in the Shanghai (SH) pattern, featuring hand-painted Chinoiserie decoration in overglaze enamels and gilding. The central composition depicts a large pink peony, stylized birds, and butterflies. The rim features a border of geometric ruyi-head motifs and floral panels. The underside displays a printed blue underglaze mark with HUNGARY in an arc, a shield containing HEREND, and HANDPAINTED below. To the right of this stamp is a hand-painted blue mark reading 7543 / SH. The foot ring is pre-drilled with two holes for hanging. Dimensions: 15”W x 1.75”H Weight: 3.82 lbs Condition: Good.
