Weller Pottery ”Woodcraft” Squirrel Ceramic Wall Pocket - This antique American art pottery wall pocket was manufactured by the renowned Weller Pottery company of Zanesville, Ohio, as part of their highly collectible 1920s ”Woodcraft” line. The naturalistic, elongated vessel is masterfully molded in deep relief to resemble a realistic tree trunk or log accented by winding branches, oak leaves, and acorns. A prominent, high-relief dimensional squirrel is perched near the base of the log trunk, finished entirely in the factory's signature earthy matte glazes featuring woodland tones of brown, green, and tan.
