Wedgwood Bone China Chinoiserie Decorated Plate - This bone china plate, manufactured by Wedgwood, features a central polychrome enamel scene in the Chinoiserie style. The decoration depicts two figures in traditional Chinese attire within a landscape; a male figure in a pink robe presents a small bird to a female figure in a green robe, with a birdcage positioned on the ground. A small red square seal mark is visible in the lower right of the central vignette. The wide, grey-lavender border is embellished with intricate gilded lace-like floral and foliate patterns, finished with a gilded rim. The reverse bears the green printed manufacturer mark of the Portland Vase above the text WEDGWOOD / BONE CHINA / MADE IN ENGLAND, along with a circular foil label for the Rubin Collection is also present on the base.
