2pc Contemporary Studio Pottery Stoneware Cup and Plate - The plate is executed in glazed stoneware and features a glossy abstract glaze design combining mottled tan and ochre fields with dramatic flowing streaks of deep cobalt blue, turquoise, and black. The unglazed base of the plate bears an impressed cursive signature, reading Whetstone. The accompanying wheel-thrown mug, which functions as the cup, features defined horizontal ribbing on the body, a slightly flared rim, and a single handle, finished entirely in a vibrant, glossy teal/turquoise glaze.
