Pre-Columbian Polychrome Ceramic Avian Bowl - Shallow serving bowl in polychrome terracotta, featuring a repeating horizontal register of stylized water birds. The figures are rendered in black and dark red slip against a natural orange-buff ground, characterized by large circular eyes and elongated beaks with parallel lines suggesting wings. A broad band of dark red slip encircles the interior rim, while the central well remains undecorated. The vessel exhibits a tapered form with a rounded base. The underside shows evidence of natural wear and mineral deposition. Acquired from a private collection. Exact origin, history and age are unknown.
