Pre-Columbian Polychrome Ceramic Cylinder Vessel - The exterior is decorated with horizontal registers utilizing red, black, and cream slips. Two primary bands encircling the vessel feature glyph cartouches containing interior motifs such as bars, dots, and U-shaped elements. These registers are bordered by delicate scrolling vine in black line work. The central portion of the body is finished with a broad band of red slip. The interior and base remain undecorated, revealing the natural buff-colored earthenware body. Acquired from a private collection. Exact origin, history and age are unknown.
