Wedgwood Lidded Teapot Designed by Louise Powell, Circa 1930, Pattern 2352 - A covered earthenware teapot designed by Louise Powell for Wedgwood, dating to circa 1930. The vessel features a globular body with a cylindrical neck, a short spout, and a simple loop handle, complemented by a domed lid with a spherical finial. The exterior is hand-painted in a vibrant Arts and Crafts style, showcasing a pattern of stylized scrolling blue leaves interspersed with purple floral clusters, orange crescents, and green leaves set against a cream-colored ground. The neck and the foot are decorated with diagonal blue stripes. The underside of the lid and the base of the pot both bear a hand-painted blue monogram of the initials LP and the pattern number 2352. The base is also stamped Wedgwood. Provenance is indicated by a circular silver-toned label for the Rubin Collection and a handwritten collector label on the base providing design and pattern details.
