Wedgwood Queensware Gold Lustre Art Deco Floral Motif Bowl - This Wedgwood Queensware bowl features hand-painted gold luster decoration in an Art Deco style. The form is a deep circular bowl with a slightly flared rim and a raised foot. The exterior is decorated with a wide horizontal gold luster band above a repeating pattern of foliate and floral scrolls. The interior rim displays a matching foliate border with a dashed edge, while the center of the bowl is accented with a circular medallion containing stylized leaf motifs. The underside of the bowl includes an impressed mark reading WEDGWOOD and ENGLAND. Underside retains a grey circular Rubin Collection label, and a typed descriptive label identifying the piece as a Queensware 8-inch bowl with gold luster Art Deco florals designed by the Powells, circa 1925.
