4pc Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Medallions and Cameos - This group consists of several individual jasperware cameos and medallions produced by the Wedgwood factory. Each piece is constructed from unglazed stoneware featuring a blue ground with white bas-relief decoration applied through the sprigging process. The subjects are classical in nature: one circular medallion depicts a classical urn; a large oval cameo shows a kneeling female figure at an altar; a small oval cameo features a standing male figure with a lyre, likely Apollo; and an irregular lobed medallion portrays a reclining sea deity, possibly Neptune, with a trident and a small attendant figure. The reverse of the circular medallion is impressed Wedgwood Made in England and MI, and it carries a Rubin Collection sticker. Both oval cameos are impressed Wedgwood on the reverse. The irregular lobed medallion features a white stoneware back impressed Wedgwood with handwritten green ink notation reading et Simmons and a Rubin Collection sticker numbered 2014.
