Wedgwood Stoneware Lidded Jar - This lidded jar is crafted from stoneware and features a modern, utilitarian form. The vessel is cylindrical with a tapered lower body and a recessed collar near the rim. It is accompanied by a matching lid topped with a distinctive U-shaped crescent handle. The exterior is finished in a matte, heavily speckled tan and brown glaze, often referred to as a salt-and-pepper finish. A prominent lighter buff-colored patch is visible on the lower body, characteristic of kiln-firing variations. The piece is stamped Wedgwood on the underside. It carries significant provenance, marked by circular silver labels for the Rubin Collection on both the base and the underside of the lid.
