Late 19th Century Wedgwood Caneware Sunflower Pattern Covered Bowl and Underplate - A Wedgwood caneware three-piece set consisting of a circular covered bowl and matching underplate. This unglazed, buff-colored stoneware features relief-molded decoration in a sunflower motif. The bowl and the saucer are decorated with a continuous border of overlapping elongated petals. The domed lid displays a matching petal border surrounding a textured seed-form center, topped with a rustic twig-form handle. The underside of the underplate is impressed with the maker mark WEDGWOOD and the three-letter code AMW. A circular collector label for the Rubin Collection is present on the base.
