Wedgwood Studio Pottery Stoneware Flask Designed by John Dermer, ca. 1971 - This Wedgwood studio pottery stoneware flask was designed by artist John Dermer circa 1971. The vessel features an ovoid body with a short, tapered neck and a flared, flat-topped rim. Two ceramic loops are integrated into the shoulder and lower body to secure a thick, brown leather-wrapped handle. The exterior is finished in a mottled dark brown to black crystalline glaze, resembling a tenmoku or manganese finish, which terminates near the base to reveal a light-colored, gritty stoneware body. The underside of the base features two impressed marks: WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND and the designer name DERMER. A yellow circular label on the lower body reads Wedgwood Earl Buckman.
