Wedgwood Black Jasperware Arabesque Bowl - A circular footed bowl crafted from black basalt-style stoneware. The exterior features a matte black finish decorated with intricate applied white relief (sprigged) ornamentation in the Neoclassical style. The decoration includes a laurel leaf band at the rim and a main frieze of scrolling acanthus leaves and floral motifs. Circular medallions are interspersed within the scrollwork, depicting classical figures including a standing female in draped attire. The foot is accented with a foliate relief band.
