Wedgwood of Etruria and Barlaston Moss Green Brass Pottery Backstamp Printing Block - A vintage industrial printing block used for applying maker marks to the underside of Wedgwood ceramic vessels. The item consists of a brass printing plate mounted to a wooden base. The face of the brass die features raised, reversed lettering for transfer printing. The marks identify the maker as Wedgwood of Etruria and Barlaston, with the country of origin as Made in England. The specific pattern name Moss Green is included at the bottom of the stamp. The reverse of the block is incised with a calligraphic script monogram letter B. A circular paper label is present on the reverse indicating provenance from the Rubin Collection.
