Wedgwood Victorian Gilded Ivy Pattern Bone China Pitcher - A Victorian bone china pitcher produced by the English firm Wedgwood. The vessel features a bulbous, vertically lobed body with a wide, pinched spout and a prominent high-set loop handle. The exterior is decorated with a trailing ivy vine pattern. The ivy leaves are rendered in raised, textured gold paste, while the vines, stems, and berries are hand-painted in a reddish-brown enamel. Heavy gilding is applied to the handle and the rim of the spout. The underside bears a red printed mark featuring the word WEDGWOOD arranged in an arc beneath the Portland Vase symbol, a mark utilized by the factory between approximately 1878 and 1891.
