Wedgwood Drabware Dutch Jug - A Wedgwood drabware earthenware jug of Dutch form, dating to circa 1820. This pitcher features a smooth, unglazed-like drab-colored body accented with gilded highlights. The decoration includes a broad gold band at the rim and spout, a thin gold line encircling the base, and a central monogram featuring the letters AB in flowing script, enclosed within a gilded laurel wreath. The base is impressed with the factory mark WEDGWOOD. It retains two provenance labels: a circular paper label for the Robin Reilly Collection, and a smaller silver-toned label for the Rubin Collection. This lot is accompanied by a Wedgwood Certificate of Provenance from Robin Reilly, identifying the specific jug as illustrated in his book, Wedgwood, Volume II, plate 528. The documentation also notes that a similar example is held in the collection of the Wedgwood Museum in Barlaston.
