Wedgwood Art Deco Millicent Taplin Sunlit Pattern Earthenware Pitcher - A hand-painted earthenware pitcher manufactured by Wedgwood, featuring the Sunlit pattern designed by Millicent Taplin. This globular jug is characterized by a rounded body, a slightly flared rim with an integral spout, and a high-arched C-scroll handle. The decoration is hand-painted over a cream-colored ground. A bold geometric frieze of interlocking chevrons in orange, blue, and green, bordered by black bands, encircles the neck. The main body is decorated with three stylized flowers in shades of purple, orange, and yellow, each with a green center. These floral motifs are accented by black scrolling vines, green leaves, and smaller blue floral elements with orange dots. A green painted line runs down the center of the handle and encircles the base. The underside of the base contains an impressed WEDGWOOD mark and a faint MADE IN ENGLAND mark. Additionally, there is a circular silver-colored collection sticker that reads RUBIN COLLECTION.
