Wilhelm Schiller and Son Art Nouveau Majolica Figural Vase No. 2204 - An Art Nouveau majolica vase produced by Wilhelm Schiller and Son of Bodenbach, Bohemia. This glazed earthenware piece features a stylized, organic form with scrolling flourishes characteristic of the period. The front of the vase displays a central relief-molded panel depicting a young girl in traditional attire carrying a musical instrument, set against a vibrant turquoise-blue ground. The scene is framed by relief-molded vines and floral accents. The reverse is finished in a light beige glaze with hand-painted floral sprigs in shades of yellow and orange. The vessel is decorated with chocolate-brown and ochre lead glazes, with gilded highlights applied to the scrolling edges and relief details. The interior is finished in a matching turquoise-blue glaze. The base features an impressed rectangular mark containing the characters WS&S and the model number 2204.
