Doulton Lambeth three-piece condiment set in unglazed brown stoneware with sterling silver mounts, dated London, 1896. The set includes a mustard pot, salt cellar, and pepper shaker, each modeled as a seated bear with detailed textured fur. The mustard pot bear clutches a stoneware barrel with a hinged sterling silver lid and a silver mustard spoon featuring a barrel-shaped finial. The salt cellar bear holds an open stoneware barrel with a silver rim and a fiddle-pattern salt spoon. The pepper shaker bear features a perforated head and a silver screw-plug at the base for filling. Stoneware bases bear the circular Doulton Lambeth factory mark. Silver mounts are hallmarked for silversmiths John Grinsell and Sons, London, 1896, including the lion passant and leopard's head assay marks.
