Doulton Lambeth by Mark V. Marshall Stoneware Peacock Handle Ewer - The vessel features a bulbous body and a tall neck with a flared, shaped rim. An ornate scrolling handle terminates in a stylized peacock perched on the handle. Decoration consists of hand-incised sgraffito scrolling acanthus leaves and floral motifs finished in dark green, dark brown, and ochre glazes against a cream-colored ground with an impressed vermiculated pattern. The handle and base ring are finished in a dark metallic brown glaze. The underside is marked with the Doulton Lambeth impressed stamp, and M.V.M. mark for Mark V. Marshall.
