2pc Kevin Francis Prototype Literary Figure Face Pots - Pair of Kevin Francis miniature glazed ceramic lidded Face Pots featuring literary figures Charles Dickens and William Shakespeare. The Dickens pot depicts the author in a dark green coat with brown hair and beard, with an interior quote reading, An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself. The Shakespeare pot is finished in a greenish-gold iridescent lustre glaze and contains the interior quote, To be or not to be? Both examples are marked on the base with a circular gold Kevin Francis Face Pots stamp and inscribed Prototype Colour Trial Not To Be Sold. Lids are hand-signed Ray Noble on the inner rim.
