A striking original acrylic, pencil, and copper leaf on paper by Miami Dade College sculpture professor and artist Robert Huff, titled Appalachian Breakdown #40. Through his use of geometric shapes, intricate patterns, and a bold black background, he expresses his mourning on the devastating destruction caused by coal mining in the Appalachian Mountains, and the irrevocable changes to these landscapes. His work is part of permanent collections at prestigious national museums, as well as in private and corporate collections. Artist signature, title, and date on upper margin.
