Bataille de Coqs (Cockfight) is an exceptionally vibrant oil on canvas by leading Haitian Impressionist painter Ernst Louizor who has exhibited in Europe and the USA and whose works hang in many private collections. Louizor depicts a melee of colors applied with broad gestural strokes to convey the intensity of the cockfight that has been described as one of the closest thing to a national sport in Haiti.
