Hans Muller, Polychrome Bronze Bust, Ludwig van Beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven in a splendid polychrome cast bronze bust by Art Nouveau and Viennese society portrait sculptor Hans Muller. The Romantic composer is dressed in a dashing contemporary outfit with a dark green patinated ruffles shirt, a rich brown patina on his wide collar and undercoat, and a natural bronze color on the sleeves and face. Hans sculpts the model looking down and with wild locks of hair to convey the intense nature and creative genius of the revered composer. The base is made of three different color marble pieces and includes a bronze plaque with the sculptor's name: Muller. Signature in cast on upper right shoulder: H. Muller.
