Outstanding volume from Hetzel's Au Steamer (Red macaron) French edition of the Voyages Extraordinaires by writer Jules Verne published between 1892 and 1905. It includes the novel L'Ecole des Robinsons (Godfrey Morgan: A Californian Mystery) with 51 black & white illustrations by Leon Bennet. Vibrant cover with gilded title in the red macaron, rich blue sky on the blue-grey sea, sharp details of the steamer and the scattered clouds.
