Exceptional cast bronze edition after James Earle Fraser's "End of the Trail", sculpted as a socio-political commentary on the plight of Native Americans in 19th century America. The sculpture represents a weary warrior and his exhausted horse with wind blowing from behind as they approach the edge of the Pacific Coast pushed by settlers. Mounted on a dark grey marble base. Signature on lower right: James Fraser. Title on bronze plaque on base: "End of the Trail."
