Rare black and white photo; Eddie Rickenbacker and Douglas Aircraft Company inside the 'Golden Falcon' DC-8 Jet.
Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc. Santa Monica, California and Photo May 9 1955 Librhill ink stamped on the back. A53-20-3 handwritten on the back. In 1935, Eddie Rickenbacker became general manager of Eastern Air Lines, and bought aircrafts such as the Douglas DC-4. From there Rickenbacker collaborated new aviation designs with Donald W. Douglas. Douglas was the founder of Douglas Aircraft Company and builder of various DC, the DC-8 the first jet airliner being among his designs.
